If you don’t know what the Lilly Ledbetter Act is or what it does, here is a really good interview I caught on the Travis Smiley show with Lilly Ledbetter herself to explain it. She discusses her new book called “Grace and Grit”, and tells how her fight to gain equal pay for women in the workplace led to landmark legislation. She also recounts her poor upbringing in rural Alabama and discusses her years working at Goodyear.
It’s unfortunate that these corporations can get away with treating their workers with this kind of disrespect…how disgraceful.
